Each year, we rely on the help of more than 650 volunteers to make packet pickup and Thanksgiving Day logistics possible for this event. Volunteer opportunities include packet pickup at Academy Sports + Outdoors and First Texas Honda, event day registration at the Long Center, and clean-up after the ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot is finished.
This is a great opportunity for both individuals and groups looking to help this holiday season.
All of the run proceeds benefit Caritas of Austin. Last year’s Turkey Trot raised $330,000, and over the last 26 years the run has donated more than $3.1 million to Caritas.
