ThunderCloud stores celebrate milestone anniversaries

July 28th, 2018

This year marks some milestone anniversaries for several of our stores across Central Texas including Georgetown, Cedar Park, East Riverside, and Pflugerville. Can you guess how long each of these stores has been open? Keep reading and you’ll find out!

Georgetown- 5 years

ThunderCloud opened its doors in Georgetown at 814 S. Main Street, in a century-old building that formerly served as the Georgetown fire station, in June 2013. ThunderCloud transformed the 3,000 square foot building into Georgetown’s first location of the fresh, fast and healthy sub shop that Austin has been known for since 1975. The location is just off Georgetown’s historic town square, and next door to the community arts center.

Cedar Park- 10 years

Located in the Village at Cedar Park retail center at 700 E. Whitestone Blvd., Suite B200, this ThunderCloud Subs store first opened its doors in February 2008. It’s no secret that at ThunderCloud, our greatest asset is our employees because they help create the company culture and good-natured vibe. The Cedar Park store proves just how true this mantra is, as we’re always receiving compliments and excellent reviews about the ThunderCrew here.

East Riverside- 35 years

ThunderCloud’s East Riverside store, located at 2021 E. Riverside Dr. near the Burton Drive intersection, was founded in July 1983. This neighborhood shop always has excellent music blasting throughout this store, Two iconic Austin music venues, Emo’s and Antone’s, are both located right behind this location and the store stays open an hour later than most other locations (until 11:30 p.m.) to accommodate the late night crowds leaving shows.

Pflugerville- 10 years

Located in Plaza at Grand Avenue, 1700 Grand Ave. Parkway, #200, ThunderCloud Subs in Pflugerville first opened its doors in August 2008. The spacious shop features a large enclosed outdoor seating area and the same eclectic, funky atmospheric vibe each of ThunderCloud’s distinct neighborhood locations have become known for.
