ThunderCloud presents Emancipet with proceeds from 2018 ThunderPets
This was the third year for ThunderCloud’s #ThunderPets campaign benefiting Emancipet, and it was our most successful one yet! Last week, ThunderCloud Subs co-owners Andy Cotton, Mike Haggerty, and Patty Sughrue presented Kathleen Nobbe, Emancipet’s Central Texas philanthropy manager, with a check for the proceeds of the 2018 ThunderPets donations.
ThunderCloud raised almost twice as much money as last year selling the groovy 2018 limited edition tie dye ThunderPets bandanas. In addition, we received more than 150 contest photo entries and reached more than 200,000 Central Texas pet owners through social media engagement.
#ThunderPets was trending locally on Twitter, with 15 local “pet celebrities” sharing posts about the campaign online. KXAN’s famous dog mascot “Kaxan the CityDog” and “Huck the Roof Dog” (a golden retriever that has made national news including on Good Morning America) were among two of the most notable pet celebs to help support the ThunderPets cause this year.
Thank you to everyone who helped support pets in need and made this year’s campaign such a huge success. Click here to view the entire photo album of ThunderPets photos submitted by our customers, employees, and fans.
