August 31st, 2017

Early bird registration for the ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot is now open with reduced pricing! Click here to register now.

Early registration for the Trot is $20 for the untimed five-mile, $25 for the timed five-mile, $18 for the one-mile walk, and $8 for the Stepping Stone School Kids’ K. All registrations include a T-shirt and runners guide. Registration prices will increase starting Oct. 11.

Always held on Thanksgiving Day, the Trot takes place outside the Long Center for the Performing Arts. Not only is the Trot the largest five mile run in Texas with around 20,000 participants, the event also offers a one-mile walk and a Kid’s K. There’s a course for every member of the family!

All proceeds from the Trot go to Caritas of Austin, a nonprofit organization that supports Austin’s working poor and homeless people. ThunderCloud has raised more than $3 million for Caritas since the event began in 1991.

More than 850 participants donated or fundraised nearly $22,000 in last year’s Fundraising Challenge! We need your help again this year to build on that success and reach our fundraising goal of $30,000.  Your donations and fundraising efforts have a direct impact on our local community.

Register for a run/walkpurchase raffle tickets, or participate in the Fundraising Challenge— no matter what you do, you’re helping enable Caritas of Austin to support people on their journey out of crisis toward self-sufficiency through housing, food, education, and employment services. Together we can make the 27th annual ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot our most successful year yet!
